The production process and flow of stainless steel coils vary depending on the equipment and processes of the production plant. Generally speaking, its production process mainly includes the following steps:
Steelmaking: Iron ore, coke and other raw materials are smelted at high temperature to obtain molten iron with a high carbon content. Then, impurities in the molten iron are removed by blowing oxygen and other methods, and its chemical composition is adjusted to obtain molten steel that meets the requirements.
Continuous casting: Molten steel is continuously injected into the crystallizer, and a slab of a certain thickness is formed through cooling and solidification. The width and thickness of the slab can be adjusted as needed.
Hot rolling: The slab is heated to a high temperature and then rolled through a rolling mill for multiple times, gradually reducing the thickness of the slab and increasing its length. The hot-rolled steel plate usually has higher strength and toughness.
Annealing and pickling: The hot-rolled steel plate is annealed to eliminate its internal stress and improve its plasticity and toughness. Then pickling is performed to remove the oxide scale and rust on the surface of the steel plate to make its surface smoother.

Leveling: The cold-rolled steel plate is leveled to eliminate minor defects and unevenness on its surface and improve its surface quality.
Slitting: The leveled steel plate is cut according to the required size to obtain steel plate coils of different widths and lengths.
